Residents of the townhouses are responsible for ensuring their smoke alarms stay in working order and notifying their neighbours in the event of a fire. The townhouses do not have fire drills or a shared fire alarm.
If the fire alarm goes off, you must evacuate the building immediately and ensure somebody has called 111 – even in a drill! Please familiarise yourself with the full emergency procures for your building below.
Allowing smoke into the hallway will activate the fire alarm for the whole building. Instead, press the silence button high up near your front door to silence the smoke alarm. Open your balcony doors and windows to clear the smoke. If it is a real fire, get out, activate the nearest alarm (hallway), use the stairs, and call 111.
Please familiarise yourself with the official Get Ready website. We frequently experience small tremors. If there is a strong earthquake, remain in your apartment until it stops. Do not use the lifts. Connect with neighbours.
